What is YCA?

Ahoy! YCA was built ‘By Sailors and For Sailors’ from the keel up to be an online community for Charter Sailors of both Power and Sailing vessels. A “Charter Sailor” is anyone (guest, crew or captain) that meets chartered vessels at desired locations anywhere in the world for any adventure, vacation or professional engagements. As a Charter Sailor myself I know the value of local knowledge and doing some legwork to ensure my Charter Party knows how to prepare and what to expect, as well as where to go, what to do and, what not to do!

Based on ‘dock talk’ it’s clear the immediate need in the Charter Community is for Charter Scouts (anyone who has chartered before) to share their knowledge. YCA Members can Compare Charter Yachts and Pros in any charter region, Read Reviews and Write Reviews (“Rate Your Experience”). YCA provides custom tools to share your experiences in the form of an adventure story – complete with characters, photos, videos… and recipes! It couldn’t be more fun!
