When you Rate Your Charter Experience here, you're enhancing online pre-charter research and helping build a Charter Value Scorecard for Charter Yachts and Pros. It's a good idea to independently track the performance of 'our' Charter Yachts and Pros, among many benefits it helps set credible expectations for our brothers and sisters afloat; everyone 'on' the water benefits.

If you have difficulties with the online tool *please* contact me and I'll collect your opinion information on any of your past 3 charter years, at your convenience. It's not a test, the only way to pass, or fail is to participate, or not.

Yacht Charter Advisor (YCA) is By&For Charter Sailors to enhance your online pre-charter research, when combined with contracts, documents, insurance, references (direct, forums, blogs, etc) and a strong plan-B! We've created a way to quickly capture your past charter experiences, combine them with the experiences of others and offer a Charter Value Scorecard for NAMED Charter Yachts and Pros. It really works!

At YCA, you can't (and shouldn't) blame the Charter Pros for the weather, but you can demonstrate your charter value consciousness, concern for safety, and tell everyone how to get the most out of their charter experience.

Simple enough. We measure the difference (+/-) between your charter EXPECTATIONS and your PERCEPTION of the actual charter experience. Measuring this +/- expectation gap at key charter opinion points gives us a good idea of your overall satisfaction. You'll see it's suitable for use by Charter Pros to monitor their business when properly administered.

The not so gory details...

Your Sailor Satisfaction Rating is based on (your) Scouting Reports of Charter Yacht Condition and Charter Pro Service Quality. The Yacht Condition consists of; Cleanliness, Condition, Operation and Safety. Charter Pro Service Quality is based on their; Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance and Empathy. This prevents a missed expectation of the Yacht Condition from negatively impacting the value of an otherwise great Charter Company or Captain!

The Charter Assurance Index of 0-7+ is based on how many annual Charter Scouting Reports are available for each named Charter Yacht and Pro. The stated good, great or not-so-good value is assured with 7+ annual Scouting Reports. Our index and weighting scheme prevents 1 or 2 strong (+/-) opinions from dominating the Charter Value Scorecard.

YCA's Charter Value Assurance isn't a guarantee that your expectations will be met, or not. It does however offer insight into the named Charter Pros' ability to set and meet your expectations. It also provides enough detail to assist Charter Pros in managing their business.
